From the friulli Venezia giulia region just like its sister pinot grigio, this particular wine is still a pinot grigio even with its pink hue or blush.

Pinot grigio grape even though its a white wine, the actual grape is a grey, blue colour. Hence the name grigio meaning grey in Italian and Gris meaning the same in french. The wine is made with the the maceration of the grape skins  being left with the juice of the fruit, which is called 'must'. This produces a light blush salmon colour. The wine is still fruitful like the standard Grigio but has a dryer finish. A well balanced wine.
